Do you feel that it is hard to have Joy when you feel like your prayer has not been answered yet?
We can’t expect to have everything handed down to us when we desire for the things we want to happen. The Lord never promised us an easy life, but He did promise that when we are weary, He will give us rest. Jesus may not give us everything that we so desperately want, but He knows the desires of our hearts and wants us to have Joy in the waiting moments of life.
“For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but Joy comes with the morning.†- Psalm 30:5
We don’t have to rush the Lord’s timing because we can wait, pray, and trust knowing that He is the ultimate provider of all things.
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.†- Psalm 37:4
Are we trying to find Joy in the things of this world, or are we finding our Joy in the Lord?
The Lord goes for you and behind you. If we are still in our waiting, then we will have the peace of God which surpasses all understanding.
“And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.†- Philippians 4:7
When the enemy tries to steal our Joy, we have the authority to pray and seek after the Lord. He will give us His Joy in times of sorrow, hurt, loneliness, brokenness and in all the hardest seasons of life. Look to Christ in all things and seek after His Joy that He has given you.
Did you know that the Lord wants to delight in every detail of your life?
So therefore, let Him take the lead and seek after His Joy in your waiting.
“Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his presence continually.†- Psalm 105:4
