God is not impressed with your "doing." Don't get me wrong, He does call us to action and the things we do can (and should) glorify Him. Our works can be pleasing to Him, but not at the expense of a relationship with Him.
Look at Mary and Martha.
See, Jesus doesn't want you to "do" all the things out of the wrong heart. He wants you to just "be" with Him even in the midst of doing hard things.
Perfectly planned meals don't impress Him. A balanced budget doesn't impress Him. A spotless house and perfect chore chart doesn't impress Him.
These are all good things, but what He really wants is a humble heart that's open to receive His love. Without that, all the other things will run you into the ground and tell you lies that you're still not enough.
As you go through your day today, choose the good portion and just sit with Jesus before you let your to do list take over.
Look at Mary and Martha.
"But the Lord answered her, 'Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.'" - Luke 10:41-42
