“For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” - Psalm 30:5
What does it look like to have true Joy in the Lord?
Joy gives us a renewed hope; it refreshes our soul. True Joy can only be found in the Lord. The earthly things will never bring us satisfaction, but the eternal things will. Ask yourself today…. Lord, am I counting everything in my life with all Joy? Ask the Lord to give you an everlasting Joy in Him.
In order for us to have true Joy in the Lord, we have to let go of all our struggles and worries and lay it at the feet of Jesus. We can walk in Joy knowing that everything we face is in His hands. When we begin to walk in Faith and in Hope in the Lord, it shifts our mindset to seeing Joy in all things. The Lord himself is the source of all Hope, Happiness and Joy.
God is sovereign and loving, so we can walk in Joy knowing that He cares for us. We get so tied up seeing our struggles as a bad thing, but we can count everything all Joy because we know that the Lord is sovereign in all of our struggles.
“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.” - James 1:2
“So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD!” - Psalm 31:24
In all things, we should rejoice. We have the authority to walk in Joy in everything that we do or go through. Whatever you may be facing, let it be an opportunity to “count it all Joy.”
“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!” - Philippians 4:4
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:18
