Faith in the Unknown

Are you currently praying for something, but that prayer is taking time to be answered?
Do we have Faith knowing that the Lord will answer, or do we fear while also trying to control the timing of when God will answer our prayer?
 
A verse that the Lord has been reminding me of lately has been 2 Timothy 1:7, which says:

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”

His power gives us strength when we are weak.

His love gives us peace when we are overwhelmed.

When we are consumed by fear, we have the authority to stand in the Spirit of His power, love and self-discipline, and to know that we don’t have to fight our fears and battles alone.

The Lord has already promised us that we don’t have to fear for He goes before us in every situation and season. Sometimes our prayers may not be answered the way we want them to, but we have to know that however God answers our prayers, it serves a greater purpose.

So, why do we fear rather than walking in Faith, when we have no control over it anyways?
It’s because our flesh wants us to worry about everything that comes our way. We have to walk by the spirit so that we will not give in to our fleshly desires, wants, and needs.

“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.” – Galatians 5:16
 
Ask yourself, “Am I having Faith in the unknown even though God hasn’t answered my prayer yet?"

You may be praying for so many things right now, but each of those prayers will be answered in a certain time frame, not on our own time but the Lord’s time. Be reminded that God is fully in control. When we ask God to answer a prayer, we must go in with a thankful heart and trust knowing that He hears every prayer. Though it may seem like the mountain in your life is crumbling, the Lord will not, for He always remain Faithful.

“'For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my Faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,' says the Lord, who has mercy on you.” – Isaiah 54:10
 
God is in control of all things, and even if your prayer is not being answered in this very moment, that delay is not denial for it is the Lord’s protection going before you. Your circumstances, and battles He is already fighting those hardships for you and preparing you for the next season of Joy.

So, will you take that leap of Faith in the Lord today and surrender your life and prayers to Him?
