His Marvelous Love

Do you ever have those days when you are driving, it’s silent, and all you can think about is just how good the Lord is? He is a gracious, a loving, a forgiving, and merciful Father. Christ made the ultimate sacrifice on the cross just so that we could be free, redeemed, and forgiven of all our sin and shame.

I have had a certain song on repeat lately and it is called “The wonderful Blood”
Here is just glimpse of what the song says…

 "Oh, the marvelous love
Let the redeemed sing a song
 Praises belong to the Son,
For the blood, the blood, the blood
 Oh, the wonderful blood
The work You did is finished
 All of our sins forgiven
And now we get to live in
The wonder of the working blood
 The cross was Your decision
But death was not the ending
You rose and now we're risen
Oh, the wonder of the working blood"

As I ponder on that song, the Lord has been reminding me that we as believers have been set free and made whole, all of our baggage is gone, all of our sins have been forgiven, so we now can walk in freedom knowing that we have been washed clean.

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:7-9

There is nothing in life that could ever change the love that Christ so freely gives to us. We can walk in freedom and wholeness knowing that we have eternal life with our Heavenly Father, for He has promised us that in scripture.

As 1 John 5:11-12 says- “And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life, whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

We have been forgiven by the grace of God, for we are no longer a slave to sin but have been given the gift of eternal life.

“We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.” – Romans 6:6

Often times, we can get so caught up in our past mistakes and forget that Christ has freed us from our sinful nature. We can be free from the power of sin and walk in the new life as Christ has intended us to do. We don’t have to live day to day in chains or bondage. Instead, we can walk in the light knowing that we have been redeemed from all of our guilt and shame. His love is marvelous, for we are not a slave to sin, but a new creation.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away, behold, the new has come.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

I love this Hannah! To know our Jesus is to walk in freedom. We are redeemed and bought by the blood!
